CONSTRUCTION: Carvel

YEAR: 1923 by Kings of Wroxham

DIMENSIONS: LOA 29′ (plus 4′ of bowsprit), Beam 8′ 6″, Draft 2′ 10″

KEEL TYPE: Long

COLOUR: White with red antifouling, a turquoise boot line and varnished superstructure

INTERIOR: 4 berths plus galley and toilet

ENGINE: Mercury 4.5 hp outboard (approx 12 years old but looks new and is in excellent condition)

RIG TYPE: Gaffer

MAST/SPARS: Wood, mounted in a tabernacle with mast lowering gear

SAILS: Slab-reefed main and roller furled jib. She is fitted with lazy-jacks and a sail cover.

EQUIPMENT: Interior: The vessel has a superb cockpit, with seating with matching cushions to either side (plus lockers and a sink), from which access is gained to the interior, the cabin roof of which lifts. The main cabin provides a settee-berth to each side plus storage. Forward of these is the toilet (to starboard) and the galley area (with cooker) to port. Forward again there is a full-length single berth to either side. Upholstery in the main cabin and cockpit is in biscuit coloured leatherette (blue on the forecabin) and there are acres of varnished mahogany, with cream painted panels, hull sides and deckheads. The boat has paraffin lamps in the main cabin but could be wired for electric lighting if required. External: The boat has recently had her decks recovered with Trakmark and had 55′ of 1″ grooved planking put into her forward starboard deck. She has a summer cover and heavy duty canvas winter covers. She comes complete with 4 mooring ropes, 6 fenders, bearing-off poles, quant pole, rhond anchors, a grapple hook and mudweight.

REMARKS: A really nice example of the ever-popular Broads sailing cruiser. She has clearly been much loved and is for sale only due to ill-health. She has been the property of her current owner for over 25 years. Freshly re-painted, varnished and antifouled spring 2002.

OUR OPINION: A super boat that is understood to sail well with no vices. Early inspection is recommended.
