Remarks:
The Cornish Shrimper 19 is Cornish Crabber’s most popular model with over 1,100 now sailing all over the world, and her timeless styling, great handling and high build quality have led to her reputation as one of the best British production gaffers of all time. This example was commissioned by her current and only owners as their second Shrimper, having sold their original one some years previously in order to buy a larger yacht. Sadly health issues have meant that they have never been able to sail her, and her sails and rigging were consequently put into storage shortly after she was launched. They instead chose to use her as a motor day launch, and having found her to be very comfortable with her keel slightly lowered for additional stability, they commissioned a bespoke cockpit canopy which provides full standing headroom and also potentially space for a couple of additional cockpit berths should any future owner have children or the occasional additional guest on board. The owners have also never stayed over night on board, and as a consequence, the interior of this yacht is in all but as-new condition! Costing over £37,000 just four years ago, this Shrimper is now for sale as her owners wish to downsize. In almost as-new condition in many respects, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is maybe considering commissioning a brand new Shrimper 19 to essentially gain an upgrade to the diesel inboard model for free, and moreover, to take ownership of their new boat in time to enjoy the 2016 season!
Please note: The photos showing the yacht with the awning fitted (photo 4 onward) were taken by Topsail in June 2016.
