Remarks:
Regularly sailed throughout the season by the current owner for over 30 years with family mainly on Wroxham Broad where she has been moored. Now for sale owing to the family crew having grown up and moved away. Winner of Wroxham Week and Norfolk Broads Yacht Club trophies with current owner in that time.
Known for their Grace, Pace and Space, the Yare & Bure One Design is arguably part of the landscape of the Norfolk Broads! A beautifully proportioned design, reputedly inspired by the sight of a duck gliding through the water and expressed in the signature broad bow with slightly uplifted transom. With over 140 built since their inception in 1908 (boats 1-93 being constructed in wood and the remainder since 1981 in GRP), the design has proven itself to be truly versatile, with the YBOD – or White Boat – being capable of providing both easy and pleasurable day sailing and thrilling racing! The hull shape suits the inland waters perfectly and the efficient rudder combined with a short keel makes for fast turns in the narrow rivers of the Norfolk Broads. This versatility and combination of speed and response to the helm makes her desirable to novices and experienced sailors alike. Spacious enough to sail comfortably and with room to entertain friends and family, this is a luxury not usually available on other similar sized keel boats.
