Remarks:
Built in 1981 for the present owner, originally designated G8, as the fifth GRP boat built by Kinsley Farrington. She was presented to the members and committee at the class meeting, after which the GRP boats were admitted to the class. She was then re-numbered 98. Maintained every year since then by Kingsley Farrington and stored inside on land every winter.
Known for their Grace, Pace and Space, the Yare & Bure One Design is arguably part of the landscape of the Norfolk Broads! With over 140 build since their inception in 1908 (boats 1-93 being constructed in wood and the remainder since 1981 in GRP), the design has proven itself to be truly versatile, with the YBOD – or White Boat – being capable of providing both easy and pleasurable day sailing and thrilling racing! This versatility makes her desirable to novices and experienced sailors alike.
Please note: The vendor has opted for Lonton & Gray sails with the opinion
this makes the boat better balanced and a more enjoyable sailing experience.
However they are not the Official Sailmaker of the Yare and Bure One Design
Class, and therefore use of them does not conform to class rules for
competitive racing. She is sold with an older Jeckells Jib and the storm jib
complies subject to up to date measuring.
