Remarks:

Reputedly built in Denmark in the 1870’s her solid construction suggests she was built as a small inshore fishing vessel and her more modern looking cuddy and coaming suggest she was converted for pleasure use much later as a day sailer. She was reportedly sailed across the North Sea from Denmark in 1962, by two students.

Bought out of love by her present owners in 2019 with hopes of restoring her to her former glory after having sat in a stable on the South Coast for forty years. The black & white photos show how attractive she looked in her heyday! However, owing to health reasons, this is no longer possible and her current owner is very keen to find someone willing and able to complete this wonderful project, rather than see her meet with an unmentionable fate.

The vessel does need a complete restoration and no survey has been conducted. However, we are advised that hull wise the stem, stern post and planking all appear sound but that the iron fastenings are corroded and the keel likely needs replacing. Of the superstructure, the boards, decks, coach roof, cockpit coaming, cuddy sides and front all appear sound. The mast has a natural split along most of it’s length and had previously been cut in two for transportation. The gaff and boom appear sound and the rigging and sails will need replacing (although absolutely no guarantees are given and prospective buyers are encouraged to make a thorough inspection of the vessel themselves).

She is priced to sell with no serious offer refused.

This vessel will be sold as seen.
