Remarks:
A well presented, traditional broads 4 berth cabin cruiser with centre cockpit. Very comfortable and roomy accommodation for 4 with plenty of storage. Collapsible windscreen and lowering roof enabling passage under all Broadland bridges including Potter Heigham old bridge.
Built in 1939 she spent war years rafted up on Barton Broad to deter enemy landings and has since spent many years in both hire fleet and private ownership including two retired Lancaster pilots. This rare cruiser has been well maintained and improved and is presented in very good condition with lots of modern comforts.
Being built of teak on oak frames she is particularly solid and retains almost all of the original planking which is in very sound condition.
The owner comments:
“Crimson Dawn is a fantastic cruiser. The engine is really reliable and starts first time, every time. It is also very economical, using around half a gallon of diesel an hour on normal cruising. Extremely easy to manoeuvre and control, she will literally turn within her own length and is easy to moor. We have had some great extended cruises aboard and find all the amenities she has matches or is better than most modern cruisers.”
MOORING: The vessel is on a private mooring which cannot be transferred.
