Remarks:
This very well presented and maintained Easticks 28 Broads River Cruiser Class yacht is one of only a handful of custom designed Easticks 28 built to special order. She benefits from a large, extra length cockpit which can easily accommodate 5 adults, though 2 can sail her comfortably, and she has a single cabin with berths to accommodate 5 adults and cooking facilities provided in the cockpit. She is rigged with an integrated topsail which has been optimised to provide superb sailing enjoyment and performance in a wide range of wind conditions. Having enjoyed much success in both river and broad regattas, she is renowned for being one of the fastest Easticks 28s on the Broads! Her owner states that “Joy has a fantastic rig and keel and sails impeccably”. With her copper coated hull and epoxy decks, she is also a very low maintenance yacht, with very low hours required to get her ready each season – usually a hull clean and polish, and re-varnish of rubbers and mast is all that is required. This is a rare opportunity to own a well known and distinctive river cruiser, which is equally suited to family Broads cruising or RCC racing.
The following is a selection of some of this yacht’s racing successes:
- Ames Cup (TMOR)
- Yare Navigation Race Overall including the Jeckells Trophy
- Two times winner of the Sabrina Trophy
- Two times winner of the Claret Jug
- Mora Trophy (Three Rivers)
- Two times winner of the Balderston Fife
- Buckworth Trophy (Wroxham Week B Fleet)
- Two times winner of Autumn Trophy Down River Race
- Satyr Cup (Wroxham Week B Fleet)
- Simon Kremer Memorial Trophy (Wroxham Week)
