YEAR: 1982

DIMENSIONS: LOA 16.76m, BEAM 4.37m, DRAFT 1.37m

KEEL TYPE: Long

COLOUR: Green with white superstructure

INTERIOR: 6 berths in 3 cabins plus heads and galley

ENGINE: 65 hp Ford D diesel (in need of attention)

RIG TYPE: Cutter rigged ketch

MAST/SPARS: Hollow spruce

SAILS: Slab-reefed main and mizzen and roller-reefed headsails, sail covers.

EQUIPMENT: Internal: The boat has a centre cockpit with an all-enclosing acrylic cover and wheel steering. Companionway steps lead forward into the main cabin where the galley is located to starboard, opposite which is the chart table. The galley provides: 2 stainless steel sink units, a Flavel Vanessa cooker (2 burners, grill and oven), fridge, worktop and storage. There is pressurised water, with the hot water being heated by a Rondo gas water heater. Going forward, there is a dinette (believed converts to a double) to port and a Morso Squirrel solid fuel cabin heater to starboard. Forward again, the heads – which provides a Lavac toilet and shower – is to port, opposite which is a hanging locker. In the forecabin there is a further single berth. Going aft from the companionway, a passageway to port leads to a double cabin (note: this area needs a complete refit). She carries 160 gallons diesel and 100 gallons water. Navigation equipment includes: Suunto steering compass, Navico electronic compass, Garmin GPS, Cetrek autopilot, Navico echosounder/speed & distance log, Navico 6500S VHF, radar reflector and navigation lights. External: The boat is fitted with heavy stainless steel stanchions and guard lines plus pulpit, pushpit and davits. Deck equipment includes: Simpson Lawrence electric/manual windlass (1996), Aerogen 3 wind generator, 75lb and 45lb CQR plus chain and warp.

REMARKS: This boat has not been personally inspected but is understood to be a professionally built vessel, the internal fit-out (particularly the aft cabin) of which is not yet complete. A 1997 survey report available.

OUR OPINION: In need of completing and also a fair amount of refitting, this is a large vessel that could repay work being put into her.
