EQUIPMENT: Internal: The boat has an excellent cockpit with seating and lockers to either side. There is also a large locker under the aft deck. Double doors lead into the cabin, which has a lifting roof giving about 6′ headroom aft. There are 3 full-length berths, one to each side the and third forward, to port. Opposite this is a sea-toilet. The vessel has electric lighting plus two gimballed, brass oil lamps. Upholstery is in blue material and the woodwork is varnished with white deckhead. The boat is fitted with navigation lights but has no other navigational equipment. External: The boat’s decks are covered in grey Trakmark. There is access to the forepeak – which has a large storage capacity – from the foredeck. Standing and running rigging all appears to be new. She comes complete with the usual complement of mud weight, rhond anchors, ropes and fenders.
REMARKS: The boat has had considerable work carried out on her hull, with 3 full-length planks being replaced on each side in 1999. Her decks though need attention, something that has been taken into account in setting the asking price. There would seem to be comparatively few Easticks vessels still around (or else they seldom come to market!).
OUR OPINION: A boat with potential, she is understood to sail well and has very pleasing lines. She is, however, in need of work.
