EQUIPMENT: Internal: The vessel has a good-sized cockpit with seating to both sides and across the transom. These all have lockers under, and there are also lockers in the aft deck. The toilet compartment (with sea loo and hand basin with pressurised hot and cold water) is to port at the foot of the companionway whilst opposite there is a hanging locker and other cupboards. Forward of this is the galley area, providing a work-top, stainless steel sink unit with pressurised hot – from a Carver Cascade water heater – and cold and Flavel Vanessa cooker (2 burners, grill and oven). Forward again, still to starboard, there is a further hanging locker, with shelf space on top. Opposite there is a dinette (converts into a double berth). This has storage drawers under the seats. The forward cabin provides two full-length single berths (convert to a double if required), storage and a translucent escape hatch. The centre section of the cabin roof – over the galley/dinette area – lifts to give 5′ 11″ headroom. She is light and airy, and her décor whilst – when inspected – in an end of season condition, would respond well to some TLC. Interior woodwork is in mahogany, and upholstery is in beige PVC. External: The boat is fitted with an A-Frame, and has stainless steel grab-handles and a pushpit. She comes complete with the usual Broads kit of mudweight, ropes, fenders and a fitted blue PVC cockpit sprayhood.

REMARKS: These are ex-hire fleet vessels and are understood to have excellent sailing capabilities. As will be seen from the photograph, the bow has a plate fitted over it. The owner informs us this has been there from new and is to protect the bow, not to cover damage.

OUR OPINION: Understood to sail well, these vessels are intended for family sailing, but are also easily handled by 2 – or even one. Well worth seeing.
