Accommodation

  • 5 berths in 2 cabins, plus galley, heads and wheelhouse
  • The vessel has a good sized cockpit with a stainless steel Whitlock De Luxe wheel, binnacle compass, seating to either side, and double doors into the wheelhouse. This has the secondary steering position (with teak wheel) to port and also provides a single settee berth to either side. The galley is to starboard at the foot of the companionway and provides a Plastimo Neptune 2000 gimballed cooker (2 burners, grill and oven), sink unit with pressurised hot (from calorifier) and cold water, cupboards and worktops. Opposite is a single settee berth with a fitted, folding table. To starboard, opposite the table is a further single berth (with trotter box, which extends into the adjacent hanging locker). Going forward the heads is to port and provides a Lavac sea-toilet and hand basin (with pressurised hot and cold) opposite which is the aforementioned hanging locker. In the forepeak there are two full-length V-berths plus storage and access to the chain locker. Upholstery, which has been recently renewed, is in beige dralon in the two cabins and is in excellent condition. In the wheelhouse, the upholstery is in green leatherette and, again is in good condition. Internal woodwork is in varnished teak and is in excellent condition. In common with virtually all Bruce Roberts’ boats, headroom, at 6ft 2in, is excellent throughout the boat. She is fitted with masses of storage space, with an excellent range of sliding door cupboards under the side decks plus lots of other lockers. The boat benefits from Ardic hot air central heating (new 1999) and has a dual electrical circuit with 3 x 70 amp/hour batteries. The boat’s superstructure is varnished and she has teak laid decks (2001), an escape hatch in the foredeck, and galvanised pulpit, stainless steel pushpit, stanchions and guardlines.

Remarks:

A very nice, and well presented, GRP example of this popular model, which has new laid decks and a recently altered and improved internal layout.

It is understood that this vessel has cruised extensively on the East Coast and that, with a previous owner, she has been as far as the Mediterranean. She has a huge inventory – this description covers most items but by no means all. All Bruce Roberts boats are designed for serious sailing, with the accent on safe performance and comfortable living. This boat appears to be an excellent example of the type. She is clearly much loved, in beautiful condition and, in consequence, well worth seeing.
