Remarks:

The Loch Long One Design racing yacht was originally commissioned by members of the Loch Long Sailing Club of Scotland to mark the coronation of George VI (and initially called the Coronation One Design) and was based on the Stjärnbät of Norway with the addition of a counter stern.

This Loch Long OD, “Gaen” #39, was a fleet leader back in the 80’s, and the vendor informs us that she was still very competitive within her local fleet of about 30 boats at Aldeburgh when last raced (including a 2nd at Aldeburgh Week). With her very pleasing lines, she will undoubtedly bring much pleasure to her new owner whether being actively class raced or just cruising and having fun on the water!
