Remarks:
The Freeman 30 was one of John Freeman Marine’s most popular models and is now considered to be a genuine classic. And this example is rumoured to have been built for John Freeman himself! Constructed in GRP and wood, the Freeman 30 offers good accommodation with a centre cockpit and cabins fore (with galley) and aft (with heads) in a pleasing, traditional design with lots of character and a light and airy interior. Powerful 2.5L twin engines make the Freeman 30 a versatile boat for estuary, sea or river use.
This example was purchased by the present owner and her late husband (a marine engineer) about 5 years ago. They quickly commenced a comprehensive refit, but sadly this was never completed due to ill health. Unfortunately the boat has since suffered from some water ingress at the front of the main cabin due to a leaking/rotten window frame. “Exotique” offers lots of scope as a comfortable family cruiser, or even as a characterful liveaboard vessel, once the her refit has been completed and exterior tidied. It’s understood that the boat’s engines are in running order, although a service is overdue. A quick sale is desired and offers will therefore be considered.
