Remarks:
The Devon Dayboat is the cruising version of the very successful Devon Yawl. With a hull design that takes it’s inspiration from the wooden half decked boats that worked out of the Salcombe estuary for some 200 years prior, the Devon Dayboat has the same hull as the Devon Yawl with the addition of a cuddy cabin.
Understood to have previously been based in SW Wales, and having been barn stored for a couple of years prior to being moved to Scotland by the current owner (a retired sailing instructor and boat builder), this example has her original gelcoat finish throughout (not painted) and is being sold complete with a recently overhauled road trailer. A great little cruising dinghy with a flexible yawl rig and designed to handle strong currents and sail well to windward, the Devon Dayboat is also very stable having lots of internal ballast, thereby making her a good estuary day sailing boat for a family or for solo use. Sadly offered for sale due to a change of plans.
