Remarks:
Based on kayaks from the 1960s, but made using modern methods and materials, and designed for use on lakes, lochs, sheltered coasts, estuaries and non-rapid canals and rivers (such as the Norfolk broads), the American-made Folbot Yukon 13ft Expedition Folding Kayak is a spacious and stable touring kayak. With good internal space (lots of wiggle room!) and comfort, it packs into two bags enabling easy storage and carriage inside car/caravan/camper/boat or on roof bars.
Understood to be in almost as new condition, with no leaks and just one very slight sign of abrasion and corresponding inside patch on the port underside.
Available for viewing in Dumfries and Galloway, south west Scotland. Can be sent by carrier to buyer at cost.
Comments from the owner: I am 72 and weigh in at 100 kgs. I started paddling in a kayak similar to this that I built in 1960 at school. This kayak is a delight to paddle and takes about 20 minutes to assemble – quicker after you have done it a few times. It packs into two bags, so no boat in your garage in the way – put it in the shed or inside the house under the bed. It was imported from the USA by the previous owner to myself.
