Remarks:
This Norfolk Broads half decker was built in 1934 by Ernest Woods and was based largely on the Yare & Bure One Design. She differs from a YBOD/White Boat in having a lifting centreboard keel as opposed to a fixed fin keel, designed to assist with sailing in the shallow waters of Hickling Broad. She is also 6 inches wider in the beam. She is the same length and carries the same sail plan as the YBOD/White Boat.
Originally commissioned by the vendor’s grandfather who sadly passed away during the war, she was later sold out of the family until 2011 when the original owner’s grandson (current vendor) found and purchased her. She was restored by Martham Boats shortly afterwards and subsequently returned to her original home waters of Hickling Broad. A knowledgeable and sympathetic new custodian is now sought.
PLEASE NOTE: The trailer shown is owned by the yard and is not included in the sale or available for delivery.
