Remarks:

A superb family cruiser maintained to the highest standard! Built by Martham Ferry Boatyard, Norfolk and launched 23rd May 1995, this White Silk 28 was the first of her class and was displayed at the Earls Court Boat Show in London. She is a well equipped, purpose-built Broads yacht with full history and only 3 owners from new.

The present owners have carried out a comprehensive update and refurbishment programme in recent years, including a new sail drive, new cables and Morse control, a complete new rig – mast, boom, standing rigging, running rigging, Profurl C290 furler and Jeckells mainsail – along with a revised sail plan (designed and installed summer 2018), new sprayhood, cockpit tent, cooker, fridge, and much, much more!

Additionally, a major refit at Landamores in 2019 included: New teak cockpit sole, engine bay sound proofing material, repainting of interior lockers, new instruments (depth and speed), full interior varnish, new basin unit and cupboard in the heads, new teak pad for mast winch, new teak blocks for deck organisers, new cabin flooring, replacement LED lighting and a new fore hatch.

The White Silk 28 is an easily handled, comfortable, cruising yacht, and her shallow draft and mast lowering system make her ideal for cruising inland and inshore waters. Currently decommissioned for the winter, this example is due to be readied for the 2021 season in March/April. A truly fantastic family yacht which is only for sale as the owner’s renovation of a traditional wooden Broads yacht is now nearing completion. GRP yachts of this size and spec. are quite a rarity on the Norfolk Broads, so don’t delay in registering your interest!

Please note: It’s understood that this yacht has some small blisters between the Coppercoat and the hull. These predate the current ownership of over 11 years and have not been an issue or changed significantly during that time.
