Remarks:
The Seacar was Brooke Marine’s answer to the Chris Craft runabouts popular on the Great Lakes in the USA. Built in 1928 at Lowestoft and named after John Brooke’s granddaughter, Jemima was fully restored by Cox’s Boatyard between 2009-13, and was then used lightly on the River Cam for four years before returning to Norfolk, and then once again back to Cambridgeshire, this time on the Great Ouse. Fitted with chromed cleats and fairleads, ensign socket, Brooke roundels, mats, navigation lights, etc. all re-manufactured using the original castings by John Brooke, the great grandson of the builder, and with chromed trim to the engine room bomb bay doors and splash screen, this is a highly spec’d and very authentic vessel. With an electric propulsion system that requires hardly any maintenance (recent new batteries and charger), and an overall cover which fully protects the varnished deck and hull, this fabulous launch is understood to be in excellent condition throughout and ready for the summer season! Purchased by the vendor in 2009 for restoration, this electric motor launch is now for sale due the’s vendor’s imminent relocation.
The owner informs us that he intends for this launch to be sold on or before 30th June 2021 to the best offer received by that time!
