Remarks:
The Laser 2000 (or LDC 2000, and more recently post 2013, simply The 2000) is an entry-level performance asymmetric sailing dinghy which is equally suitable for cruisers and families as well as casual and serious racers. With a very active class association of enthusiasts and racers, and with a packed season of race meets and events held every year including National Championship, it’s not surprising that the Laser 2000 continues to be so popular! Designed by Phil Morrison (a British boat designer and racer) in 1997 as a true general purpose boat, and with over 2,200 boats built since production commenced in 1998, the Laser 2000 has established a reputation for being resilient and versatile, being both docile and forgiving for novices and family-friendly sailing, yet exhilarating and fast for more advanced sailors.
This Laser 2000 has been little used by the current (and second) owner and is now for sale due to the owner’s relocation.
