In excellent condition having been extensively restored, “Kitten” is believed to be the only remaining catboat of five built by Ernest Woods circa 1930. As such, she is both an important and very pretty part of Broads sailing history.

Based on the design of the Cape Cod Catboats from the USA, she is beamy and stable, with her single mast set well forward in the bow giving ample room in the cockpit. The lifting centreboard gives a shallow draft ideal for use in the shallow waters of Hickling Broad.

Having not been sailed since her major restoration by the great nephew of the original builder, she requires a small amount of finishing work. A marina repossession and whilst not currently rigged, the list price offers her in ‘sail-away’ condition. The boatyard is willing to negotiate a lower price for the purchaser to undertake this work themselves.
