Remarks:

A very attractive Classic dayboat with a Gaff Sloop and traditional rig, blocks and tackle. She has been well maintained and restored by her owner and is in good order throughout.

Built by joiner Herbert Kennard and his brother Albert, keen yacht racers, as a turn of the last century ‘build at home’ project using plans from J Pain Clark who had a reputation for designing speedy yachts. Incorporating canoe design to create a radical plate and bulb keel, light weight ‘canoe yacht’ she was frequently raced at club level and cruising the Thames and East Coast.

She has appeared in a number of press and magazine articles (yachting monthly, Classic Boat and others ) and retains a wonderful and full history file including a Log of her first cruise, A Builders half model, The Builder’s costs record, various drawings made by the builder. The long short history of her can be viewed below.

Wintered ashore annually she is now refitted and antifouled, ready to be launched to her swinging Summer mooring on the River Orwell.
