Remarks:
A beautifully restored (and fully documented) example of the Powles Star Class cruiser. Originally built as a hire craft for the 1960’s heyday of boating holidays on the Norfolk Broads, she was designed for comfortable and spacious cruising of the inland waterways (perhaps now making an liveaboard), she is a true classic in every way.
She benefits from a modern heads compartment with Jabsco electric toilet and a separate, good sized shower. Shore power and an inverter system provide mains power while cruising and heating is fully installed – it just needs wiring in.
Owned since 2007 and fully restored between 2007-14 she has been well maintained (with full documentation) ever since and wintered ashore annually in a wet shed with a full all over cover.
Recent maintenance includes 4 planks to her hull and a full superstructure varnish leaving her gleaming in 2023 and 31ft of planking in 2024.
Now sadly for sale owing to health reasons this magnificent craft is looking for the perfect new home. She would benefit from a schedule of phased works for some further planking work to her hull.
Accordingly, her price has been dropped to reflect this and encourage a new owner to come forwards who will be rewarded by owning one of the most delightful classics on the Broads.
A real head turner. Details are available on request.
