Remarks:

Silver Sprite is a beautifully presented Thurne Cuddy sailing cruiser, based on the much-loved Yare & Bure One Design hull form and built by Kingsley Farrington. She is a rare traditional boat and one of the best examples in her class.  She combines the elegance and sailing performance associated with the traditional Broads “white boats” with the practicality of a small lifting cuddy cabin.

The lifting cuddy roof provides simple but useful accommodation for two, making her well suited to weekends and short Broads cruises. She is offered with two suits of lightly used Jeckells sails, summer cover, cockpit cushions and a boom tent.

Silver Sprite underwent an extensive professional restoration in 2011, with the schedule of works available for inspection. Since then, she has been professionally maintained and stored ashore annually. Her GRP hull, varnished mahogany cabin and cockpit, traditional gaff rig and varnished wooden spars give her real period charm without the demands of a fully wooden hull

She is a particularly appealing boat for anyone looking for a classic Norfolk Broads sailing experience: easily handled, rewarding under sail, and suitable for club racing, relaxed day sailing or occasional overnight cruising.

A rare opportunity to acquire a well-restored, professionally maintained Broads sailing cruiser with YBOD heritage and the added versatility of a cuddy cabin.

Please Note:

A good condition Kingsley Farrington road trailer (2020) and Yamaha 2HP outboard are both available by separate negotiation.

MOORING: The vessel does not have a transferable mooring. It is understood that short-term mooring arrangements may be available by separate arrangement at her current mooring location.
