• The boat is entered via the companionway steps (under which there is access to the engine) from the cockpit. To port is the galley area with sink unit (both fresh and salt water), cooker (2 burners, grill and oven), worktop and storage. Opposite this is the chart table with more storage and the vessel’s navigation equipment. Forward of this there are single berths to either side (the starboard one converts to a double) behind and under which there are substantial amounts of storage. Forward again, the heads compartment, which provides a sea toilet and hand basin, is to starboard opposite which is a large hanging locker. In the forepeak there are two full length single berths plus further storage, access to the chain locker, etc. The boat’s internal decor is largely in teak with upholstery in blue material. She has 6ft plus headroom and is equipped with grab handles to deck heads and cabin sides.

This boat was the last of eighteen 36s built by Camper and Nicholson. She was purchased from the builders by the Royal Navy as a training vessel in replacement of one of the ‘windfall’ boats acquired at the end of the war. Sold out of the Navy in 1973 she has since had 3 owners. A storage cradle for the boat is included in the sale price. We sold this vessel to her current owners some 5 years ago since when we understand she has had a complete refit. We felt she was a beautiful boat then, if in need of some renovation, but she is now greatly improved and will be of interest to someone looking for a classic. She is a thoroughbred – elegant, fast and roomy.
