Remarks:

As Newbridge’s 1983 London Boat Show model, this Newbridge Navigator benefits from several additional features not commonly seen on other examples. Without doubt, the pick of these is the unique, bespoke lifting cabin roof – the aft half of the cabin roof can be raised to give standing headroom right across the boat where the beam is at its maximum. There can be no other 19 footer this spacious! Her galley, whilst bijou, is neat and workable, and she has numerous very clever space efficient features which make life on board a pleasant experience. This boat comes with a huge amount of equipment for her size (as can be seen above), as her owner is downsizing from two boats to just one, and her easy to handle junk rig makes her an ideal first sailing cruiser. Understood to be in good order throughout, she is in commission and ready to sail!

MOORING: Southern Broads, currently paid for until August 2015 and may be transferable to the purchaser subject to agreement from mooring owner.

Please note, the trailer pictured is not included in the sale.

Additional notes regarding the electric motor (as provided by the vendor)

The T1003 is a clever design in that it’s three major parts are able, if required, to operate whilst apart, connected only by optional (included) extension leads. The throttle/digital readout panel is below the boat’s tiller, and the battery is to one side of the power unit which is so small compared to the well it’s in, that it can turn at pretty much any angle to make tight manoeuvring easy. The digital readout is a joy, showing the battery power left in percentage and, even nicer, showing how far you can go (in nautical miles) if you continue using power at the present rate. This provides instant answers to questions such as “I’m a bit short of time, can we get back OK if I turn up the power a little?” or “How far can we go if I ease down the throttle?”. The relationship between range and throttle setting is not a simple straight line one, but the T1003 does all the calculations for you. It’s instructive to potter downriver seeing the current speed and range data. Now is a good time to remind you that there’s another battery at 100% waiting to be put on duty – you change the leads from one battery to the other. Even nicer, there’s an optional (included) lead which allows the high tech Torqeedo battery (usual voltage 29DC) to be charged from the normal ship’s battery which itself is charged from the solar panel. This charging works even if the motor is being used at the time.
