Remarks:
One of a number of small yachts designed and built after the great depression of the 1930’s that enabled a generation of sailors to return to the sea, the Ranzo 4 Tonner was built locally on the east coast in by Robertsons of Woodbridge and later lead to the development of the very similar, but arguably better known, Deben 4 Tonner by the same designer.
Originally registered in Poole, Dorset, this little ship has spent many happy years sailing on the Broads since she returned to East Anglia. Boasting an auxiliary diesel inboard engine, she has been professionally maintained (with photographic record), including a full rebuild of the stem and planked foredeck. Purchased locally by the current owner in 2018, she is now reluctantly offered for sale following a job relocation to Northern Ireland, “Twilight” has many years of classic wooden boat cruising still to offer!
