Remarks:
With her distinctive and attractive bow detailing and tan cutter rig (both of which give her the look of a miniature traditional clipper!), the Privateer 20 is a very pretty little yacht/trailer sailer. This example comes with a road trailer which is understood to be in roadworthy condition complete with spare tyre. She previously sailed from Blakeney Quay on the North Norfolk coast, before being purchased and moved to the Broads by the current owner. Sadly she hasn’t yet been sailed here on the Norfolk Broads due to an injury sustained in 2018 (this also being the reason for her sale). At just under 20 foot in length, the Privateer 20 is an ideal trailer sailer or first boat, being easy to handle and sail single-handed, and well suited to both inland and coastal sailing.
Requiring cosmetic improvement and general tidying, this Privateer 20 is an easy DIY project for someone looking for a traditionally styled small sailing cruiser and ideally with space at home to accommodate the boat whilst the required works are being carried out.
