Remarks:

The snekke (aka motorsnekke, sjekte or kogg, plural snekker) is a traditionally styled, double ended, open motor launch, originally built in Norway and Sweden. Evolving from wood clinker, sail-powered, open fishing boats, the snekke’s timeless design still continues to be replicated, both with and without a cabin, in thousands of workboats and recreational craft throughout the Baltic and further afield.

This 21 foot snekke is of a traditional open ‘harbour launch’ design and is ideally suited to use as a family picnic boat/runabout for inshore or inland river/lake cruising, or perhaps for use as a tender for a larger vessel. Previously based on the south coast, and most recently used on the Thames (and would equally suit the Norfolk Broads or Lake District), she was refitted and upgraded in 2016, with further improvements, including the installation of a ‘new’ reconditioned Yanmar diesel engine, just earlier this year. Her trailer has also been overhauled in 2021 and is understood to be in good roadworthy condition. For sale as the vendor wishes to downsize.

Please note: The 2021 condition survey report incorrectly states that the trailer is unbraked – this is not correct. The photos of the vessel date from early 2021.
