Remarks:

This very attractive little sailing dinghy was built by John Nightingale to his own design at Lowestoft Further Education College (now part of East Coast College) as part of a two year City and Guilds boatbuilding course, and subsequently won first prize at Greenwich International Wooden Boat Show! With many lovely features and beautiful contrasting wood colours, all wood components – hull, centreboard, mast, tiller, oars, etc. – were handmade personally by the builder. He even made the brass rowlocks, we’re reliably informed! Although she has been trailer sailed extensively throughout the UK, she has always been dry stored when not in use, and she appears to be in great condition throughout as a consequence. Complete with traditional tan sails and combi road trailer/launching trolley, this little craft really is a work of love and art! (Even when it’s raining, which unfortunately it was when I visited and photographed her!)

An electric outboard and good battery are available to the purchaser by separate negotiation.

Please note: Photos 1-3 show the vessel at Martham regatta in 2019.
