Remarks:
One of the last boats to be built in wood by Martham Ferry Boats, this well built Cresta Maria class sailing cruiser was privately commissioned and built to the high specification of the original owner, a musician in the Big Band era who played the drums on the soundtrack to the film “Where Eagle’s Dare” (and in fact the build was financed by monies bequeathed to the original owner by a well respected band leader whose rings were placed in the hull during the build!).
Whilst it is acknowledged she would now benefit from some external varnishing, she is beautifully presented inside and clearly remains a much loved vessel. She offers a lot of space for use by larger families with a possible 6 berths when using the occasional berths in the cockpit. Along with space comes the luxury items of a separate heads complete with hot shower(!), cabin heating for those chilly evenings and a complete upgrade of her galley to include some beautiful ash worktops, all with the convenience of an inboard diesel engine and an electric mast lowering system.
She is now for sale owing to a lack of family crew members and other projects.
