Remarks:
Well maintained and in good condition, she has been professionally maintained by a well respected boat yard each year.
With an electric winch for easy mast raising and lowering and a modified electric outboard engine she’s easy to sail and whisper quiet.
She has been stored ashore since the end of the 2021 season and is now for sale owing to a general retirement from sailing.
Class Notes:
The Waveney One Design (WOD) was designed in the early 1920s at the request of the Waveney Sailing Club and the class are still actively sailed and raced at the Waveney & Oulton Broad Yacht Club (WOBYC). Currently comprising 34 boats, the first 26 WODs were constructed in wood by various builders over a number of years, with a further eight boats built in GRP since 1994.
Please Note: Her mainsail and jib are in fact Yare & Bure One Design sailsĀ (White boat /YBOD) and not Waveney. However her current owner has never competitively raced her and found they suit very well for general day sailing.
