Remarks:

This iconic Broads River Cruiser is the perfect all-rounder.

Built in 1908 by G. Hart & Sons of Thorpe Island, she benefits from two cabins with four extra long berths (6′ minimum), a separate heads compartment, full length hanging locker with shelving, nearly new sails and large cockpit.

Fully restored by Greenway Marine in Loddon (previously Worsley Craft) in 1988 who also fitted out the interior, she has been professionally well maintained by a reputable boat yard throughout her current ownership of nearly 40 years. She has been well loved with her hull and superstructure painted or varnished on alternate years, the engine serviced regularly and any works reported being done.

Her owner says:

“I have always found Brit a pleasure to sail , well balanced and well behaved in all normal sailing conditions. She is quite spritely in a breeze but always predictable. She also goes nicely ln lighter airs, which makes it possible to sail her with confidence down narrower parts of the broads, such as South Walsham dyke.
She has been professionally maintained and I have enjoyed sailing her all over the Broads, often single handed and we have also enjoyed a little racing together. Sadly I suffered a stroke last year, so I am unable to continue sailing her and the time has come to pass her on to her next custodian.
I am sure anyone who sails her will soon appreciate her charms and enjoy her as I have over the last 38 years”.
