Accommodation

  • 4 berths, plus heads with shower and fully-fitted galley
  • The boat has a large cockpit with low-profile dog-house at the head of the companionway, which leads down into the main cabin. Here, the heads is to starboard opposite which is the galley. The heads has a new sea toilet (with holding tank conforming to US regulations) and a powerful shower (with seat). The galley has a Smev LPG cooker (4 burners, grill and oven) plus double stainless steel sink (with pressurised hot, from a Paloma gas water heater, and cold), water-cooled fridge/freezer, worktop and storage. There is also access to a large storage area beneath the cockpit. Going forward, there is a U-shaped dinette to port (converts to a double berth) opposite which is the vessel’s chart table, a high-back swivel chair, lockers/bookshelves and a solid-fuel space heater. Going forward again, there is a double cabin in the bow with a double berth to starboard and a worktop/vanity unit, with hand basin, to port. This area also provides a hanging locker, full-length mirror and access to the chain locker. In common with most Bruce Roberts vessels, headroom is good at 6ft 3in. The boat’s internal decor appears to be immaculate, finished mainly in white with blue upholstery and varnished woodwork.

Remarks:

This one-owner vessel has been featured in many books and yachting magazines, not least because her owner was named “Yachtslady of the year” in 1996 by the Slocum Spray Society. The boat, built in the UK, has visited Spain, Azores, Canaries, Grenada, Bermuda and the Eastern Seaboard of the United States. She is a beautiful, well-built and well presented vessel.
